- No classes on Sundays. Rest is part of the plan.
Same time every week. A different workout every time.
Your class is at the same time every week, so it goes in the diary and stays there. The workout inside it changes every week, so your body keeps adapting and you never do the same routine twice.
- 8
- People per class, never more. The coach sees every rep.
- 45
- Minutes. Long enough to work, short enough to fit in before work.
- 1
- Coach who knows your name and which knee to look after.
Six classes. Pick two or three and keep them.
Everything about each classModerate, 45 min

Keep up with your grandchildren.
That is what we train for. Not a photo and not a summer body. A body that keeps up with the life you already have, for as long as possible.
Meraki is for
- Getting up off the floor without planning it first
- Carrying your own suitcase when you are eighty
- A back that survives a full day in the garden
- Walking the Bloupunt trail without stopping every hundred metres
Meraki is not for
- Filming your workout
- Being shouted at
- Six week shreds
- Comparing yourself to the person on the next mat
There are gyms for all of that. This is not one of them.

Events
MontMerak
A few times a year we run something a bit bigger. MontMerak is a fun fitness race of short runs and stations, solo or in pairs. Nobody wins anything for being fastest. Prizes are lucky draws for everyone who finishes.
Last one: MontMerak 2026, Saturday, 3 October 2026.
Your first month, so there are no surprises.
1
Week one
We get to know you
A proper chat about old injuries, aches and what you want to be able to do. Then your first class, at your pace.
2
Week two
You learn the basics
How to squat, hinge, push and pull without hurting yourself. Light weights and a lot of coaching.
3
Week three
It gets easier
This is the week most people want to stop, and the week things start to click. Keep coming.
4
Week four
You notice it at home
The stairs feel shorter. Getting out of a low chair is easier. You sleep better. Now it is a habit.
Adults need muscle strengthening on two or more days a week. Over 65s should add balance work on three or more days to help prevent falls.
World Health Organization guidelines, 2020. Two or three Meraki classes a week covers it.

Eating for strength, not for a number on the scale
Muscle is made in the kitchen as much as in the studio. A plain guide to protein, plates and habits that support you as you get older.
Good questions
I am over sixty and have not exercised in years. Is this for me?
Yes. A lot of our members started exactly there. Steady Strength and Balance and Control were made for people coming back after a long break. We start with what your body can do today.
Do I need to get fit before I start?
No. That is like cleaning the house before the cleaner comes. You get fit by coming. Every exercise has an easier and a harder version and the coach shows you which one is yours.
I have a bad knee, back or shoulder.
Most people over forty do. Tell us about it on your application and we will plan around it. If something needs a doctor or physio to look at first, we will tell you honestly.
How many people are in a class?
Eight at most. Small enough for the coach to watch every rep and learn your name in the first week.
Is it the same workout every week?
No. The class times stay the same so you can plan your week around them. The workout inside each class changes every week, so your body keeps adapting and you do not get bored.
Classes are full. How do I get in?
Join the next eight on this site. It is our waiting list. When a place opens at a time that suits you, we WhatsApp the next person in line. Tick "I would like to try a class first" if you want to try before you commit.
What should I bring?
Clothes you can move in, closed shoes, a water bottle and a small towel. Mats and equipment are here.
See you at 06:00
Classes run Monday to Saturday.
Every class takes eight people and they are usually full. Put your name down for the next eight, or just WhatsApp. A real person answers.
